Los Ángeles (EE.UU.) — Los vestidos coloridos y los trajes con gráficos y dibujos inundaron hoy la alfombra roja de la cuarta edición de los Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs), que dejó un claro mensaje sobre el importante aporte de los hispanos y las mujeres a la sociedad estadounidense.
La mexicana Gloria Trevi destacó a su llegada al Teatro Dolby, situado en el corazón de Hollywood (Los Ángeles), con un vestido lleno de plumas que defendió a capa y espada.

“Las mujeres deben vestirse como quieran sin estar pensando en su edad, o su peso, no deben dudar en defender lo que quieran porque ahí está su fuerza” dijo a Efe Trevi.
La cantante Becky G, por su parte, escogió un vestido con transparencias negro, un color asociado en Hollywood al movimiento #MeToo.

Los mensajes también llegaron escritos: Rompiendo con el glamur de estos eventos, la actriz Ana Lorena Sánchez optó por una camiseta blanca con la frase, en inglés, “no hay límites que las mujeres no puedan sobrepasar”.
Pero no solo las estrellas traían un mensaje claro, a la gala llegó la “soñadora” Astrid Silva, una inmigrante indocumentada amparada por el Programa de Acción Diferida para los Llegados en la Infancia (DACA).
La inmigrante llevaba un vestido azul de gala con un llamado en defensa de los “soñadores” pintado en su falda.
Los hombres no se quedaron atrás en las reivindicaciones y el músico puertorriqueño Elvis Crespo vistió un traje amarillo con aves y arboles dibujados en el pantalón y la chaqueta que aseguró simbolizaba el colorido que los inmigrantes representan en EE.UU.
Por su parte, el cantante Nacho, nominado a uno de los premios, portaba una chaqueta Versace llena de símbolos y afirmó que los premios Latin AMAs demuestran que los hispanos están al nivel de los artistas estadounidenses
La neoyorquina Leslie Grace, por su parte, vistió un traje largo también lleno de mensajes que hablaban de poder, coraje y los derechos de la mujer. “Vamos a celebrar lo que somos: Mujeres, hispanos, inmigrantes, y debemos sentirnos orgullosos de eso”, dijo.
