UCI puts Northridge down with ease, 62-46

The UC Irvine women’s basketball team downed Cal State Northridge,
62-46, in a Big West game at the Bren events Center Saturday.
UCI led 32-17 at the half and never let the Matadors get any
closer than 11 in the second half. The Anteaters hit a season-high
nine three-pointers and shot 42.3 (22-52) for the game. UCI
outrebounded the Matadors 31-29 and forced 23 Northridge turnovers.
Wendy Gabbe led UCI with 18 points, knocking down four
three-pointers.
Courtney Ferguson and Christina Callaway each pitched in 10
points.
Callaway and Gabbe each had a game-high six rebounds.
Ofa Tulikihihifo paced Cal State Northridge with 17 points. Kim
Gildersleeve and Brezya Rhodes each had 10 points in the loss.
UCI improves to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in Big West Play, while the
Matadors drop to 1-17 and 1-6 in league action.
