Spiders creep past Cutco

Blake Kelly scored the last of his three goals late in the third
period to lift the Spiders past Cutco, 7-6, in Wales Division play at
Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Joshua Fisher added two goals, Jimmy Hocker and Jacob Hill each
scored once, Kyle McGeary had three saves, and Brandon Weiss and
Trevor McCourt each had an assist as the Spiders ended the regular
season in first place with a 5-1-4 record.
Ethan Berg recorded 30 saves.
Damian Raburn powered Cutco (3-6-1) by scoring five of his team’s
six goals. The other score went to Luke Hamagiwa who also had an
assist.
Chad Millar finished with two assists and Chase Selby had one.
In other games:
Hawks 10, Vipers 4
Nathan Bergeron poured in four goals and Brandon Mohl scored three
more to pace the Hawks.
Aly Zappen’s big game consisted of two goals and two assists,
Derek Humphried had an assist and Amy Zappen finished with 31 saves.
The Vipers’ scoring was spread among Lewis Gifford, Skyler Matas
and Shaun Ellis, Anthony Ellis had an assist and Matthew Duran had 29
saves.
Lightning 11, Dirt Jr. 8
The Lightning scored nine goals over the final two periods to get
past Dirt Jr.
Kyle Evans led the way with four goals and three assists, Brett
Shaver chipped in three goals and two assists, Timothy Hunt scored
twice, Nicholas Weldon had a goal and assist, Bryan Gonzalez had an
assist and Kyle Morrill had 32 saves.
Dirt Jr. was led by Luke Gane’s three goals and assist. Tyler
Olsen had a goal and a pair of assists, David Loy scored once with an
assist, Ryan Ware and David Daley each scored once and Nigel Carter
had an assist.
Jonathan Criss recorded 27 saves.
Roller Rebels 6, Mad Dogs 2
Matt Gattis scored two goals and Tyler Bertrand, Wade Turner,
Hunter Golden and Eric Pace each scored once for the Roller Rebels.
Bertrand also finished with two assists while Golden and Joseph
Condron each had one.
Bryan Paranal had 12 saves.
For the Mad Dogs, Ali Plummer and Kevin Ewing scored, Michael
Charlesworth had an assist and Klaus Halvorson recorded 22 saves.
Kings 5, Question Marks 5
The tie game featured four goals and an assist from the Kings’
Greg Weaver.
Jonathan French and Shayne Thomas each scored twice, Tyler Bales
had a goal and assist, A.J. Trentini had two assists and Nick Perez
finished with 36 saves.
Patrick Division
Roadrunners 5, Diamondbacks 3
Cameron Monahan scored three goals and had an assist to lead the
Roadrunners.
Other goals were scored by Michael Mowrey and Andrew Hayashi.
Hayashi also had an assist, Michael Iacono had two assists and
Damian Raburn had one assist.
Nicholas Perez finished with 25 saves.
Joe Murphy and Eric Lyon each scored once with an assist, Josh
Roseberry had one goal and Colten Daigneault had 22 saves for the
Diamondbacks.
Timberwolves 5, Team Indecision 3
David Mattatall and Matt Grijalva each scored twice to lead the
Timberwolves.
Tip Donaldson scored once, Casey Adams had three assists, Jonathan
Shramek had an assist and Jimmy Cacal had 22 saves for the
Timberwolves.
For Team Indecision, Drew Richardson had two goals, Rick Cathey
had a goal and assist, Adam Bosch and Jeffrey Andrews each had an
assist and Blake Easton had 31 saves.
Heretics 9, Post Men 6
Cody Quarress, Jonathan Almaraz and Grand Del Campo each scored
twice for the Heretics.
Kyle Marino and Kevin Christi each had a goal, Quarress added a
pair of assists and Ross Turchi had 24 saves.
The Post Men’s offense consisted of Ryan Morgan scoring all six
goals and Ryan Daley getting four assists.
Brandon Rodriguez recorded 15 saves.
