‘JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR’

“Jesus Christ Superstar” is coming to Orange County Performing

Arts Center’s Segerstrom Hall Sept. 16 through Sept. 21. It was the

first masterpiece from the legendary team of Tim Rice and Andrew

Lloyd Webber. This landmark show, which premiered in 1971, chronicles the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth as seen through

the eyes of his disciple, Judas Iscariot, who has become

‘ANNA IN THE TROPICS’

South Coast Repertory will present “Anna in the Tropics” Sept. 18

TWO BY THE KIROV BALLET

The Kirov Ballet of the Mariinsky Theatre of St. Petersburg will

through Oct. 23. “Fokine Classics” consists of three ballets that are

set to classical works. The second program, George Balanchine’s
