LAGUNA ART MUSEUM

Laguna Art Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday except

Wednesday and has some new, exciting exhibits. “Ocean View: The

Depiction of Southern California Coast Lifestyle,” featuring images

from the beginning of the twentieth century to present. “Some Fuzzy

Logic: The Joan Simon Menkes Gift”, is a group exhibition

highlighting works from a recent gift of 50 pieces that focuses on

artists who mostly came to prominence in the ‘80s, who investigate

the systems of thought that guide one’s daily life. “Hassel Smith: 55

Years of Painting,” Smith was a major figure in the Bay Area Abstract

Expressionist period of the 40s and 50s. This exhibit is a

WEEKEND HIKES

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park offers hiking, mountain biking and

equestrian riding on designated trails at the Willow Canyon Staging

Area, 20101 Laguna Canyon Road, and hiking on designated trails at

the Dilley Preserve on Laguna Canyon Road every Saturday and Sunday.

CONNECT SPIRITUALLY

CONCERT IN THE PARK

Music in the Park, Inc. and the city are having their last free

concert at Bluebird Park before it moves to Riddle Field and the

Festival of Arts. Each Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Lagunans are invited

to bring their picnic basket, blanket, friends and family to enjoy

different types of music. Sunday the Neil Diamond tribute band “Hot

PATRIOTIC PLANNING

An organizational meeting for the 38th Laguna Beach Patriots Day

Parade will be held at 7 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Bank upstairs

meeting room. Officers will be elected and a theme a theme will be

chosen for the March 6, 2004 event. Volunteers are needed to organize

BIBLE STUDY

The semester for Word Study Laguna Beach, a community

nondenominational, non-exclusive Bible study, will begin at noon at

the Calvary Evangelical Free Church. Word Study Laguna Beach is an

independent ministry of Word Study International and meets weekly

from noon to 1 p.m. in the church at 468 Legion St. All are welcome

to participate in the short lesson, small groups, praying and

CLINICAL FUND-RAISER

The Laguna Beach Community Clinic, a nonprofit organization that

offers quality medical and dental services regardless of patients’

ability to pay, is hosting its sixth annual extravaganza fund-raiser

at the Montage Resort and Spa. The event will feature an evening of

food, drinks, auctions and an opportunity drawing. The clinic will

also honor community contributors, including Mayor Toni Iseman. The

MUSIC IN THE PARK

The city and Music in the Park, Inc. will be hosting a free

concert by “Caravana” a popular Latin band from 4 to 6 p.m. at Riddle
