THURSDAY
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a 20-year-old resident at
about 9 a.m. after a store video camera in the 100 block caught him
stealing $60 from the cash register on Sept. 16.
TUESDAY
* El Toro Road: Two teenagers were reportedly joyriding in Club
Laguna golf carts at 9:01 p.m.
* Mystic Way: Someone driving a green van reportedly dropped off a
big-screen TV in the street in the 600 block at 7:20 p.m.
* Canyon Acres Drive: A resident reported at 1:35 p.m. that $1,000
worth of merchandise was stolen from his car sometime between Sept.
18 and 19 in the 400 block. The man believed his door was opened with
a slim-jim.
* South Coast Highway and Vista Del Sol: Police arrested a
32-year-old Foothill Ranch resident on suspicion of drunken driving
and possession of a controlled substance at 3:29 a.m.
* Crescent Bay Park: A man reported that he was beaten up by two
men while walking his dog and lost a capped tooth at about 1:45 a.m.
MONDAY
* Laguna Canyon Road: A resident had his car stereo and amplifier
stolen sometime between 4 p.m. Sunday and 9:45 a.m. Monday in the
20000 block. He said he’d left his door unlocked and estimated his
loss at $1,000.
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a 21-year-old man on
suspicion of trespassing on cultivated land and held him on $10 bail.
A man in the 31000 block called police when he heard footsteps on his
roof, then called police when the suspect ran away. Police caught him
by the Aliso Beach bathrooms.
SUNDAY
* Laguna Canyon Road: Police found a 40-year-old Anaheim resident
on his back with a bottle of Jim Beam between his legs and arrested
him on suspicion of being drunk in public in the 900 block at 9:30
p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A very big dead raccoon or opossum was
reported by the curb in the 31000 block at 9:49 a.m.
* Nestall Road: Police arrested a 45-year-old resident on
suspicion of burglary, stalking and receiving stolen property in the
3000 block at 5:13 a.m. When police arrived at around 3 a.m., the man
was in the bushes and had to be extracted at gunpoint. The suspect’s
ex-girlfriend lived at the house he was allegedly stalking.
SATURDAY
* El Toro and Laguna Canyon roads: Police arrested a 41-year-old
Lake Forest resident on suspicion of drunken driving after she was
found sleeping in the intersection on a green light at 10:15 p.m.
* Cedar Way: A resident reported that her neighbor had fallen
asleep with the TV on and that the noise level from the neighbor had
gone too far. In the 1 block at 2:49 a.m.
* Park Avenue: A 16-year-old student at Laguna Beach High School
told police a 17-year-old at the school had been harassing,
threatening and following her, then threw rocks at her and a guy she
was dating.
* Alta Laguna Park: Police arrested three teens, 17, 18 and 19, on
suspicion of felony vandalism at 12:17 a.m. The trio caused about
$2,500 in damages. Two had prior felony vandalism convictions.
SEPT. 19
* Anita Street Beach: Police arrested a 42-year-old man on
suspicion of being drunk in public after he allegedly made faces at
young girls and scared people on the beach at 4:25 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A resident reported a male “hippie” sleeping
in a gray, 1980s Toyota in the 2600 block at 9:25 a.m.
* South Coast Highway and Legion Street: Police arrested one man
on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and pot and another for
possessing a stolen fanny pack containing $588 worth of merchandise
at 10:55 a.m.
