Top-seeded Alexa Glatch of Newport Beach defeated Jennifer Lee
Heinser of Miami, 6-7 (1), 6-0, 6-3, to win the girls 18s singles
title at the prestigious 38th Easter Bowl United States Tennis
Association championships Saturday at the Riviera Resort in Palm
Springs.
Glatch, 15, lost a set for only the second time in six matches
during the week against Heinser, but persevered to claim her second
singles title in three years at the event -- she won the girls 14s
crown in 2003.
Glatch, with partner Lindsay Burdette, won the girls 18s doubles
Friday and tournament officials believe it is the first time a player
has won both singles and doubles titles in the division in the same
year.

Corona del Mar High, fell to 10th-seeded Sam Querrey, 6-3, 6-3, in
