COSTA MESA — Stephanie Leisenring went a combined four for six with three runs batted in, helping the Lions sweep Friday’s nonconference doubleheader.
Melissa Forrester went the distance in the opening game for Vanguard, which improved to 7-5.
Forrester (2-1) struck out nine and allowed one run on six hits.
Katharine Jablonski started the second game and went five innings, improving to 3-1.

COSTA MESA — Gabriela Bergmanova won in No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles play as the Lions swept the Golden State Athletic Conference match Friday.
Vanguard (2-1, 2-1 in conference), ranked No. 6 in the country, also received impressive wins from Betyel Tesfa and Ekaterina Gabashvili in No. 2 and No. 6 singles.

COSTA MESA — Lucas Pereira and Tino Brodar each won in No. 1 and No. 2 singles play as the Lions improved to 3-0 in Golden State Athletic Conference play Friday.
Garrett Gillon and Nils Iwdal won in No. 3 doubles for Vanguard (3-1).
The Lions are ranked No. 6 in the country.
