MISSION VIEJO — Karlee Riggs had 14 kills to help the Pirates to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 Orange Empire Conference win Wednesday.

Isabel Emrich had 10 kills, while Andi Frisina and Dana Nicholson had 22 digs each for OCC (12-2, 7-1 in conference). Pirates setter Allison Lumsden had 31 assists.

BOULDER CITY, Nev. — UC Irvine freshman Brenna Carlson finished tied for eighth to lead the Anteaters to a share of fifth place as a team in the 54-hole event that concluded Wednesday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Carlson, who shot three-under 69 on Tuesday, carded a 78 on Wednesday to finish at 219.

Freshman Michelle Yang (221) tied for 16th and senior Lalita Patipaksiri (223) tied for 20th for the Anteaters, whose 891 team total was 22 strokes behind victorious UC Davis in the 16-team event.
